Talk about a no brainer! Put out new Halo games until they stop making hundreds of millions in profits $$$$$.
How many times do I have to tell you guys its going to be called the Xbox 1080? Calling it the Xbox 720 makes no sense when every game will run at 1080P...
If this is true, it is good news for gamers and developers. By dumping the Cell Sony will make things a lot easier on developers. Switching to a faster and easier to program CPU will allow for the PS4 to hit the ground running with great titles right out out of the starting gate. For gamers it will mean the PS4 won't gather dust waiting for games like the PS3 did.

Imagine if a new Halo game only sold 537,000 in the USA on the first day let alone the first month? This is the best AAA exclusive for the PS3. Anything less than 2 million on the first day sux. Even the Halo "expansion pack" blew these sales away.
How many months in a row did the 360 outsell the PS3? Now the PS3 barely outsells the 360 in a month with a huge price drop and a great AAA game release and everyone is thumping the...
They shouldn't release it at all for the PC at this point. Why put out a half a$$ game?
I do understand their frustration when more than 90% of the people playing the game on PCs are using pirated versions...
LOL. That means it will take me a month to finish. Then turn around and play it again on the next hardest setting. Well worth the $20 (I'll sell it for $40 on eBay after I am done with it).

Definitely because of Forza 3. Notice that Turn 10 released a Forza 3 demo and EA is holding off on the Shift demo?
I am a huge racing game fan, but there is no way that I am buying Shift without playing a demo knowing that Forza 3 is about to come out...
If I owned a PS3 I'd be buying Shift, since GT5 won't be out til next summer in the USA.
It's worth $60 bucks to me. Can't wait to play it. I'll play the campaign through twice and sell it on eBay for $45.
Funny all the haters that show up for anything to do with Halo. How many of those haters were complaining when Sony was selling a bumper-car demo of GT5 for $40? I'd much rather spend $60 on what amounts to a full game. Who cares if it started life as an expansion. It finished life as a full game.
I'm definitely buying this game, playing the campaign all the way through and selling it on eBay the day that Forza 3 releases.
Great looking game with by far the best physics and damage of any console game. My most anticipated game this year. Cannot wait.

No actually fiscal years start Oct 1 and end Sept 31. So Q4 of the fiscal year would be the end of September. I severely doubt it will be coming out before the end of September.
Sorry, but I don't believe this for a minute! Halo 3 brought in $600 million and counting on maybe $20 million investment. How else can you make that much money? Halo is better than a gold mine. They'd be stupid to stop making them.
Those shots look awesome, but not nearly as far ahead of the competition as they looked three years ago. Shame it is taking so long to release this game. Dirt 2, Shift, Forza 3 etc have caught up and are coming out long before GT5.
Not sure why someone would think this is embarrassing or a mistake? When you are wizzing along at high speed through the woods on a snowmobile shooting a machine gun with one hand and driving with the other, you almost expect to die. It would have been an embarrassing mistake if they made the game so you couldn't crash and die.
BTW - this game looks awesome. 100.0% chance that I will buy.

Wow year-to-year. Now that Blu Ray players are getting cheap the PS3 is fading fast. Shame because it is starting to be a good game machine.
This shows why the PS3 sales have continued to decline as stand alone BR players keep getting cheaper. In the early days lots of people bought PS3s to play movies and not to play games. Sony needs to come out with a $199 PS3 really soon...
Why do people always say the next XBox will be the 720? That would be a stupid name for a machine that runs everything at 1080p. Obviously it will be called the Xbox 1080.
In the first place there is no way possible it will be called the 720! Any new console by Sony or MS will play ALL games at 1080p and 60+ frames per second. They will in no way want to associate with the number 720. It will be the X3 or the Xbox 1080. It may come out in 2013, but I am thinking fall of 2012.
